The grey clouds had finally split on Saturday morning and the sun was climbing steadily in clear skies as I set off from Leeds to Ribblesdale deep in the Yorkshire Dales to get some more limestone pavement photographs in my portfolio. Malham For those who have not been you will be inspired The natural amphitheatre of the cove itself is something to behold. The vertical curving cliffs 300 metres wide and some 80 metres high are spectacular.
For over a decade now we have been returning to The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus TRNC very much in a holiday capacity to unwind from the stresses of busy jobs. We are really enchanted by Northern Cyprus and its people and so too have my aunt and uncle been as they bought a home in a beautiful village which is a home in the sun of peace joy and tranquillity which they generously share with the family today.
The weather had been its usual unpredictable self and a March workshop planned to coincide with the gannet inshore migration back to their seasonal nesting sites at one of the UKs major sites at Bempton cliffs on the Yorkshire east coast looked like being ANOTHER day of grey and miserable weather Then, all things changed thank goodness and, as it happened, a window of opportunity between passing weather fronts gave us all the opportunity for some predicted sunny blue skies for a great photo shoot. It didnt go all our way however.
